Movement
Life has a tendency to throw some curveballs, and you might feel that you aren’t as strong and flexible as you were before. This retreat will empower you to take care of yourself - physically, mentally and energetically.
You will discover how to move, breathe and live more confidently. You can expect well-rounded yoga classes in the mornings that prioritise building strength, mobility and balance.
We will also make time for rest and relaxation with soothing yin and restorative yoga classes in the late afternoons.

Enjoy a brilliant brunch, with a vast variety of dishes, accompanied by fresh tea, coffee and juices.
Recharge with a snack in the afternoon, which you can enjoy in the garden or by the pool.

Alongside our 2x daily yoga classes, we will have a daily 45-minute session in the outdoors on somatic tools and techniques we can use to explore the workings of our nervous system, reduce anxiety, sleep better, and feel more resilient when the world becomes an overwhelming place.
About Your Host…
Manouk Tideman is known for her grounded, compassionate presence and her ability to create inclusive spaces where students feel safe exploring yoga in a way that is meaningful to them. Her teaching is spacious, deep, and introspective, blending yoga philosophy, functional anatomy, and a therapeutic approach informed by modern science.
With over a decade of full-time teaching experience, Manouk brings a wealth of knowledge shaped by thousands of hours of study, practice, and lived experience with injury, chronic pain, grief, and recovery.
Despite having undergone seven heart surgeries to manage a lifelong congenital heart defect, she continues to see the heart as her greatest teacher. She holds advanced certifications, including C-IAYT Yoga Therapist, and has studied extensively with leading experts in yoga and anatomy.
During this retreat, Manouk will support you in deepening your practice, with the intention of empowering you through loving awareness and appreciation for your unique self.

Connie Garrard will be assisting Manouk on this retreat.
Connie is a movement educator and yoga teacher with formal academic training in Psychology (BSc) and Gender, Sexuality & Culture Studies (MA). She is a 200-hour Trauma-Informed Yoga Teacher, Somatic Coach, Advanced Yin Practitioner, and Pranayama & Meditation Facilitator.
Connie’s teaching methodology emphasises functional movement, interoceptive awareness, and structured progression, supporting students in developing autonomy and informed movement choices.
Her approach is grounded in evidence-based understanding of the nervous system and behaviour, making her work effective in both group and one-to-one settings.

A transfer can be arranged to bring you straight to the retreat from the airport or train station.

Booking Terms
This booking request is free and non-binding. Upon completing this form, you will receive an email from Manouk confirming your interest and the availability for your room preference. To confirm your spot you will need to pay a deposit. You can choose a payment plan, otherwise you are asked to pay the remainder 4 weeks prior to the retreat. If booking within 4 weeks of the start of the retreat, the total amount is due. When your payment is confirmed, you will receive a confirmation of your booking and any further details you may need. Deposits cannot be refunded.
Cancellations: 60 days or more before the start of the retreat, full refund minus €40 admin fee. 28 days or more before the start of the retreat, the deposit will be retained but the balance will be returned. From 28 days to the start of the retreat, the entire fee will be retained, unless we find someone to take your spot.
This retreat is offered for educational and wellbeing purposes and does not replace medical care, diagnosis, psychological treatment, or therapy. Participants take responsibility for their own health and are encouraged to consult a qualified healthcare professional as needed.

If you are coming from abroad, our closest airport is Bordeaux Airport.
There are morning flights on May 1st that arrive from London (10:50), Manchester (9:55), Paris (11:00) and Amsterdam (11:50).
There will be a transfer available from the airport at 12:45 to a nearby Italian restaurant - Ciao a Tutti - for lunch (at your own expense).
After lunch, we will continue our journey, arriving at Logis du Paradis around 16:00 to check in.
If you are flying from Bordeaux Airport on May 6th, a transfer will leave from Logis du Paradis at 10:30, arriving at the airport by 12:00.
The cost of the airport transfer (one-way) is 45 euros.

No, yoga mats and props are provided, however you are welcome to bring your own mat and props if you prefer to do so.

Yes, and this is a fantastic idea! Bordeaux is a lovely city to visit with a lot of sites to see and great places to eat. I can give you a list of things to do. There are many hotels and AirBnBs for reasonable prices.
