INTRODUCTION

Dear loved one,

This is a library of yoga practices, collected throughout the years that ‘Yoga with Manouk’ has existed. My first zoom classes were livestreamed from my phone on a small stand I had built from lego bricks. I slowly evolved to using a tripod, a proper microphone, and a more professional filming space. Now, five years down the line since I first started offering online classes, one might say I’m actually pretty professional at what I do. I sometimes still feel like I’m making it up as I go along.

When I discovered I was pregnant in December 2025, I knew I had to find a way to keep sharing yoga with you during my maternity leave. My plan was to build a beautiful library of recorded classes, and to set up a fancy subscription system, and membership plans etc. I had it all worked out, or so I thought.

But the universe had other plans. On 13th April, at 23 weeks pregnant, I was rushed to hospital and quickly diagnosed with PPROM, which means I stood a high chance of going into pre-term labour. I will now remain hospitalised until the end of my pregnancy. I am in the safest place possible for now.

My mission has always been to provide therapeutic, inspiring and educational yoga practices for all. I am deeply dedicated to this mission, and above all I am dedicated to making this world a better place through yoga.

I hope the practices in this library serve you in whatever way you need. Whether it’s to feel more connected to your body, to feel safe when things feel overwhelming, to remind you how strong you are, or to give you a space to know it’s sometimes OK to not be OK.

The library is divided into different categories of practices, ranging from more active to more gentle, flow yoga to yin yoga, anatomy-inspired to restorative calm. Some of you may have heard me use the phrase “yoga is like a buffet. Try it all. And then leave aside the things you didn’t like so much, and go back for more of the things you do like”. This is it. Your buffet. Your library. Your practice. It’s a privilege to be part of your yoga journey.

With endless love and devotion,

Manouk
